The Dutch international joined the Reds this summer from Bayer Leverkusen following the departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid.
The wing-back was signed for a fee worth 35 million euros (£29.5m) and agreed on a five-year deal with the club.
However, he has only played one Premier League game for Liverpool in their 4-2 win on the opening day of the season and has now been sidelined with an injury.
Frimpong injured
A headache for Arne Slot at Liverpool, as Jeremie Frimpong is set to be sidelined for approximately three weeks with a hamstring injury, as reported by Sportal.
The Dutch right-back, who had an impressive start to the season, will miss the crucial fixtures against Newcastle and Arsenal. His return is expected after the first international break in early September.
Notably, Frimpong's absence coincides with Conor Bradley's return to training for the English club.
The Northern Irish defender has overcome his own injury and is expected to fill the void, although the team is unlikely to risk his immediate inclusion.
