In an exclusive revelation, former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shed light on the behind-the-scenes manoeuvring that led to Cristiano Ronaldo's sensational return to the Red Devils.

Solskjaer's insights offer a glimpse into the true nature of the transfer, as he confirmed that he sanctioned the move, a revelation contrary to certain claims that the move was pushed through by the club's leadership. 

Reflecting on the pivotal moment, Solskjaer disclosed, "It was a very quick decision. We didn't think Cristiano was available and didn't think he was going to move."

However, as events unfolded, it became evident that Ronaldo's departure from Juventus had opened the door for a potential transfer. 

Solskjaer's enthusiasm was palpable as he recounted, "When it became apparent he was going to leave Juventus, obviously other clubs wanted him. I was excited, so I said yes."

"They asked me, would you want us to try it, and I said yes. Because obviously, we know Ronaldo is quality. I thought yh he is 37, but we will have to manage because he was the best goalscorer in the world," he affirmed.
