While soaking up the Grand Prix vibes in Bahrain, Neymar dropped a tantalising hint to ESPN about teaming up with Messi again, saying, "I hope we do play together again. Leo is a great person.”

“Anyone in football, everyone knows him. I think he is very happy. If he is happy, I am too." This statement has fans speculating wildly about where and when this top-tier collaboration could resurface.

After their success at Camp Nou and PSG, Messi has taken his talents to Inter Miami, while Neymar explores new horizons with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. Despite Neymar's recent ACL injury and Messi's promising start in MLS, the prospect of these two icons reuniting is a tantalising thought for the football world. 

With Lionel Messi settled and having very much transplanted his family to Miami, and with Neymar barely familiarising with Al Hilal fans before his injury, any future reunion will have to be the Brazilian moving to the MLS.
