Go hard or go home! Erling Haaland gifts his girlfriend a whopping ₦732 MILLION Hermes Birkin bag for her 21st birthday

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has set a new standard for birthday gifts after surprising his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, with one of the world’s rarest and most coveted handbags.

According to Daily Mail, the Norwegian goal machine purchased the Hermès Birkin 25 Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile bag, valued at a staggering ₦732 million (£330,000), for his partner.

Celebrated for their artistry, Himalaya Birkins are a rare find for collectors and are in high demand with or without diamonds.

According to Sotheby's, the Himalaya Birkin 25 was the most sought after size and sold for over ₦465 million ($300,000) in 2021.

The same outlet also reported that in 2023, prices for the most desirable Himalaya Birkin 25 in store fresh condition is around ₦310 million ($200,000).

Isabel, who turned 21 this week, took to Instagram to share glimpses of the exquisite birthday present. 

Clad in a flowing orange dress, she was pictured aboard a yacht, cradling the diamond-encrusted luxury piece while surrounded by idyllic ocean views.

 One clip showed her filming the blue skies and seas, with Haaland and his brother Astor also making appearances in the celebratory getaway.

Isabel, a former footballer, met Haaland during their early days at Norwegian side Bryne, where both played at youth level. 

Their romance reportedly began during Haaland’s Borussia Dortmund stint and has flourished privately despite the striker’s global fame.

The couple now share a child, born last December, though they have yet to reveal the baby’s name or gender.

During a recent family escape to Ibiza, the couple were seen onboard a luxury yacht, accompanied by Isabel’s mother and their little one.

Although Isabel only joined Instagram in late 2024, her following has quickly grown past 100,000, with fans eager to catch rare glimpses of her life with the Premier League star.

Following a taxing football season and Manchester City’s participation in the Club World Cup, Haaland has been making the most of his summer break. 

Isabel, who remained home during the US-based tournament, cheered on her partner as he netted three goals in four matches.

Haaland is expected to return for pre-season duties soon with City set to face Italian side Palermo on August 9.
