Futsal: Somalia lacked chemistry against Uganda
Somalia Futsal select team coach, Hassan Abdirizak Hassan, has said that limited preparation led to his side’s defeat against Uganda in the best of two series.
“We didn’t have enough time to train together ahead of the first leg, and the lack of chemistry may have cost us the game," Abdirizak told Pulse Sports.
“The plan is to have enough time to train towards the second leg, and I am confident that we can be able to grab the win necessary to win us the tie,” he added.
A hat trick from Abdikarim Omar for Somalia was not enough on the day, as the hosts returned from two goals down to win the game.
“I trust my boys will work on building chemistry during the week, and we will attack the second leg with the expectation of winning,” Abdirizak noted.
Somalia will head into the second leg next Saturday, 4-3 down but will hope for a victory to secure them another victory over Uganda, just like their 5-4 win back in 2016.
