After another disastrous outing at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, FIFAWWC, Zambia's Copper Queens are on the brink.

The Copper Queens made it back-to-back defeats after a 5-0 win for European side Spain on Wednesday morning.

Zambia’s Queens, who are making their debut at the global showpiece, have now conceded five goals in each of their two matches at the FIFAWWC.

Zambia’s nightmare at the FIFAWWC continued with another thrashing in Group C. 

Barbra Banda was caged again for Zambia.

Spain also put five goals past the Copper Queens to go top of Group C to register their biggest ever win n World Cup history.

The La Roja ladies scored two goals in the first half and added a third in the second to complete a dominant and comprehensive victory. 

The Stars of the show

Spain’s Jennifer Hermoso and Redondo were the stars of the game alongside the Video Assistant Referee, VAR. 

Spain enjoyed an easy ride against Zambia.

Redondo picked up a brace alongside Hermoso whose goals saw her record a landmark, her 49th and 50th goals for Spain.

Hermoso also picked up an assist after she set up Teresa Abelleira to open the floodgate of goals. 

Jennifer Hermoso reached a milestone for Spain.

Zambia knew it was not going to be their day after the Europeans needed the intervention of the VAR twice to preserve two of their goals originally ruled out for offside.
