The 23-year-old Norwegian made this statement during the 2023 UEFA awards ceremony that took place in Monaco France.
Haaland was nominated for the Men’s Best Player award alongside Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi and fellow Cityzen Kevin De Bruyne.
In the end, it was the former Borussia Dortmund star who won the award, adding to the PFA Player of the Year award he recently won on Tuesday.

I love the way my dad shouts at me - Haaland
When asked if he is still scared of his dad who follows him everywhere, Haaland said “I love the way he shouts at me,” to the amusement of many including his dad who was also in attendance at the ceremony.
Erling Haaland admitted that he is still scared of his father Alfie Haaland who sometimes shouts at him because he wants the very best from him.

The Manchester City striker also admitted that aside his dad he is also scared of another father figure - the person of his coach Pep Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola was named UEFA Men’s Coach of the Year but couldn’t attend because he was still recuperating from surgery.
Haaland had a record-breaking year with Manchester City last season, scoring 52 goals in 53 appearances, and has also found the back of the net three times in as many matches this season.
The Norwegian is still in the running for the FIFA Ballon d’Or later this year.
