Dortmund vs AC Milan: Chukwueze struggles to impress as AC Milan settle for a draw in Germany

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze was left on the bench by the manager after starting the first UCL game against Newcastle. 

Stefano Pioli’s men were looking to get their first 2023/2024 Champions League win but could only settle for a 0-0 draw against the German side.

The Super Eagles forward was brought in to replace Pulisic but could not help his team get the maximum three points.

Dortmund manager Edin Terzic made just one change to his side that defeated Hoffenheim at the weekend with Emre Can replacing Felix Nmecha.

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli made three changes to his side that eased past Lazio 2-0 last weekend.

The game started with both teams taking it slowly and did not create any chances in most of the first half.

The referee called an end to the first half with both teams failing to create chances and not being able to open the scoring.

Both teams came out for the second half and started the game with more fluidity and more attacking moves.

Nigerian superstar Samuel Chukwueze was brought in to replace Christian Pulisic in the second half to help the team produce more dangerous attacks in the final third.  

Despite creating lots of chances in the second half, both teams failed to break the deadlock and could only settle for a draw.

The referee blew the whistle for the end of the game with AC Milan yet to taste victory in this season's UCL competition.
