West Ham United legend Declan Rice has completed his record-breaking move to Arsenal with Nigeria's afrobeat star Odumodublvck heavily involved.

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known by his stage name, Odumodublvck, is over the moon following the confirmation of Declan Rice as a new Arsenal player.

As reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, West Ham United legend Rice has officially been confirmed as an Arsenal player.

The Gunners confirmed the record deal for the defensive midfielder on Saturday afternoon. 

“A new chapter begins,” the Arsenal said in a statement on their official social media account.

Odumodublvck on Declan’s unveiling

Arsenal unveiled their record signing with a popular song dedicated to the midfielder.

Odumodublvck released the song called Declan Rice

The song titled “Declan Rice” released by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck earlier this year featured in the video used to announce the signing of the 24-year-old.

Following the release, Odumodu has taken to social media page to react, with the talented rapper dedicating the history moment to  God while appreciating the role of his fans.

“NO JESUS NO SUCCESS,’’ Odumodu posted in a tweet on Twitter. ‘ALL GLORY TO THE MOST HIGH.’’

Nigerians also jumped on the video and praised the rapper who posted another tweet to thank his compatriots and his fans.

“THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PUSHED THE CLUB TO USE THE TUNE,” the rapper added in another tweet. 

“YOU MIGHT THINK YOU DID NOT HAVE ANY IMPACT ON THIS BUT I REALLY DO FEEL THAT YOU GUYS DID. THE PRESSURE WAS WERSER BY THE DAY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I AM SO GRATEFUL.’’

On Odumodublvck

Ojogwu is a songwriter and rapper who was born in Lagos in 1993 and began his music career at Christ the King College in Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, where he got his stage name.

He began is career in 2018 and released his first single titled ‘Picanto’ in 2022 following his move to Native Records.

Declan Rice and Odumodublvck linked up after the release of the song.

Odumodublvck’s hit track ‘Declan Rice” which has now seen him meet the former West Ham star, was released in March 2023.
