Former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has named ex-Manchester United man Rio Ferdinand as the EPL's greatest-ever defender.
During an illustrious spell at Old Trafford, Ferdinand, amassed numerous accolades, including six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League triumph, three League Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
He also earned individual honors such as being named in the PFA Team of the Year six times and winning the Premier League Player of the Month award twice.

Speaking to TalkSport, Pique said "A lot of people say Terry but for me, it has to be Rio.
"We are quite similar in the way we played, but he was the guy i looked up to when i arrived Manchester as a 17-year-old.
"His partnership with Vidic was incredible, probably the best during that generation in England."
Pique went on to join Barcelona and Pep Guardiola's revolution in 2008, where he played until his retirement in 2023.
