Bayern Munich 4-2 Heidenheim: 11-game record smashed by Harry Kane with latest double
England international Harry Kane has continued his remarkable start to life at Bayern Munich after he added to his goals for the Bavarians.
Kane added to his impressive scoring streak for Bayern after netting another brace to inspire the champions to the top of the Bundesliga table.
Kane breaks Bundesliga record
In a thrilling six-goal clash against Heidenheim, Kane netted two first half goals as Bayern thrashed the newly promoted side 4-2 at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
Both goals took his tally to 17 for Bayern in the Bundesliga in just 11 appearances following his record move from Tottenham in the summer.
Kane has now scored 20 or more goals in 10 consecutive seasons for his clubs.
With both goals, Kane has now scored back-to-back braces, in addition to two hattricks to become the player with the most goals in his first 11 goals in Bundesliga history.
Kane’s impressive feat means he has now overtaken former Bayern superstar, Robert Lewandowski's tally of 16 goals from 11 matches set in 2019.
The 30-year-old swapped North London for Bavaria after a 100 million pounds switch in the summer as a replacement to Lewandowski who departed Germany for LALIGA.
What Bayern’s win means
In what was a dominant display from the hosts against the gallant visitors, former Manchester City winger, Leroy Sane, helped himself with two assists for the Kane goals before Heidenheim gave the defending champions a scare with an unexpected comeback.
However, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting came off the bench to seal the win for Bayern with a late goal.
Bayern, with the win, have now moved above Victor Boniface’s Bayer Leverkusen on the table, at least for the next 24 hours.
