AC Milan interested in summer move for Chelsea midfielder

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has entered the final 18 months of his Chelsea contract and he is unlikely to be offered an extension with the club looking to significantly trim the squad.

With the new manager coming in and the raft of players acquired under co-owner Todd Boehly, Loftus-Cheek will find it difficult to nail down a place.

Milan are emerging as serious contenders for the midfielder's signature and Chelsea are believed to be open to a sale.

Loftus-Cheek is believed to be open to a move away, recognizing his opportunities will be limited next summer.

Chelsea are also believed to be willing to let up to seven players leave the club this summer in a total overhaul ahead of next season.
