Jamaica's 4 x 100m men's campaign went from bad to worse on day 2 of the World Athletics Relays in China, while Omanyala's Kenya achieved historic qualification for the World Championships in China.
Jamaica’s 4 by 100m relay team will have to rely on rankings to stand a chance of competing at the Tokyo World Championships following a disastrous second day in China, to headline a disastrous weekend for them.
Jamaica, who messed up on day one during the barton exchange between Julian Forte and Johan Blake, had to suffer the ignonimity of suffering the same fate for the second day in a row, as this time, Forte pulled a hamstring before tripping and falling before Blake even had a chance of touching the barton.
It now means that Kishane Thompson, who won silver at the Olympics in the 100 meters last year, did not even get to touch the barton.

Percy Tau: African Giants Hit Dead End in Attempt to Sign South African Forward
An African giant is likely to miss out on South African attacker Percy Tau, who they have been interested in, because of one major reason.

Odhiambo then ran down the final leg to secure the second spot of the heat, despite narrowly losing to Belgium, who set a national record of 38.49.
Final Qualification Snapshot:
