The three-year partnership, worth Ksh 231 million, significantly raises the bar from the Ksh 195 million package signed in 2022 and provides a major boost ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The deal will see Ingwe pocket Ksh 65 million plus Ksh 7 million in bonuses in the first year, Ksh 70 million plus Ksh 7 million in the second year, and Ksh 75 million plus Ksh 7 million in the third year.
With the new season set to kick off on September 20, 2025, the announcement could not have come at a more opportune time for the club, which is keen to reclaim its place at the top of Kenyan football.
Speaking during the signing, Betika Group CEO Mutua Mutava emphasized the broader vision behind the sponsorship.
“We are proud to continue this journey with AFC Leopards, a club that shares our vision of nurturing homegrown talent and building communities. This sponsorship is more than just funding, it’s about creating hope, structure, and opportunity for the next generation of footballers," he said.
"Football is a lifeline for thousands of young Kenyans who dream of making it to the big leagues, and through this renewed partnership, we are reinforcing our belief in the power of sport to transform lives.”
The investment marks a significant milestone for both parties, positioning AFC Leopards on firmer financial ground while cementing Betika’s role as one of the leading backers of local football.

Newly elected AFC Leopards Chairman, Boniface Ambani, hailed the extension as a turning point for the club.
“This renewed support could not have come at a better time as we prepare for the new season. We are deeply grateful to Betika for their continued faith in our club, especially at a time when Kenyan football urgently needs structured investment.," he noted.
"Many teams across the country are brimming with talent but often lack the resources to thrive. Sustainable partnerships like this one are not just about supporting the top tier, they are about building a pipeline of stars from the village pitch to the national stadium.”
Ambani’s remarks highlight the urgent need for private investment in grassroots structures that can nurture budding players.
The focus, he stressed, should not only be on elite clubs but also on providing opportunities at the community level where raw talent is abundant yet under-supported.
The landmark sponsorship aligns with global best practices, recognizing that strong local clubs form the backbone of national sports success. By investing in these structures,
