Kenya’s Grace Nawowuna successfully defended her women’s title in spectacular fashion at the 45th edition of the Bolder Boulder 10k Race held on Monday, May 26, in Boulder, Colorado.
The 21-year-old led the race from gun to tape, showcasing dominance.
Nawowuna clocked an impressive time of 31:52, breaking the long-standing course record of 32:13 set by Delillah Asiago 30 years ago.

Nawowuna’s commanding run saw her finish 48 seconds ahead of her closest rivals, an extraordinary margin for a race of this caliber.
Ethiopia's Meseret Belete, settled for second place in 32:32, while her compatriot Alem Tsadik came in third at 32:43.
Million-Shilling Payday for Record-Breaking Feat
Nawowuna's stunning victory was not only a moment of national pride but also came with significant financial reward.
She pocketed a total of Kshs 1,679,776 ($13,000), which included a Kshs 387,640 ($3,000) bonus for setting a new course record.
“It feels amazing. It felt good because I had trained hard for this race and am happy for defending my title from last year,” she said after the race.
With her second consecutive victory in Boulder, Nawowuna continues to build her legacy and is poised to become a dominant force in women’s road racing.
