Coming in second, Iwobi refers to this classic combination as a "recovery" meal, highlighting its comforting and satisfying qualities.
Jollof Rice
Jollof rice, often regarded as the quintessential Nigerian dish, ranks third. Iwobi states, “You can’t go wrong with Jollof rice,” emphasising its popularity and versatility.
Chin Chin
This crunchy snack takes the fourth spot on Iwobi's list as one of his ‘go-to snacks’. Chin chin is a favourite treat for many Nigerians, enjoyed at parties and gatherings.
Efo Riro
A delicious spinach stew, efo riro completes the top five. Its rich flavours make it a beloved dish among fans of Nigerian cuisine.
Fufu
Ranked sixth, Iwobi acknowledges fufu but does not express strong enthusiasm for it, indicating it’s not his favourite.
Suya
The spicy meat skewer known as suya comes in at seventh place. Iwobi believes it should rank higher, stating that “Suya should be above fufu for me.”
Moi Moi
This steamed bean pudding made it to eighth place on Iwobi's list but did not receive any specific comments from him.
Akara
The fried bean cakes known as akara are ranked ninth, with Iwobi candidly admitting, “I am not a fan,” showing his personal taste preferences.
Frejon
Finally, frejon (a coconut rice dish) rounds out the list in tenth place. Iwobi dismisses it entirely, saying, “I don’t even know what that is. I’ll put that 10th; I’d never had that before.”
