The series kicks off with the 12th Kabete Open, postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Defending champion Adel Balala will be looking to continue his dominance, having won the tournament in 2021, 2022, and 2024.

The field will be capped at 156 players with a verified World Handicap System Index of 15.0 or lower at the close of entries. The tournament will take place July 18-20 at the Vet Lab Sports Club course.

The 54-hole stroke play tournament will consist of three rounds of 18 holes each day, played based on gross scores.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Kenya Swing series. This not only reinforces our commitment to growing the sport but also establishes Kenya as a regional golf powerhouse," KGU Chairman Chris Kinuthia stated as quoted by Standard Media.

He continued, “The series serves as a launchpad for talent development and other tournaments. We are excited to welcome international players. We believe that by hosting these events, we can showcase the best of Kenyan golf while nurturing the next generation of players.”

Following the Kabete Open, the series continues with the 103rd Kenya Amateur Matchplay Championship at Sigona Golf Club from July 24-27.

The series concludes back at Vet Lab with the 48th Kenya Amateur Strokeplay Championship.

This tournament will determine the season’s top amateur and provide a comprehensive assessment of player consistency and skill.

The Kenya Amateur and Strokeplay champions will earn automatic entry into the 2026 Magical Kenya Open, provided they meet all KGU and DP World Tour amateur entry requirements.
